This post previews the nearly 7-hour video training series just released by Jeremy and Simon, called "Underground Traffic Blueprints", which takes an unorthodox approach to using existing technologies to drive huge traffic to your web businesses. Whether you do affiliate marketing, AdWords, SEO, or Social Media marketing, you will find real dynamite in this series - techniques you haven't seen until [...]

I have learned the hard way that, once you’ve published a book on stock investing, everybody you know (and many you don’t) will ask you to recommend a hot stock or to predict what the market will do next. While I usually refuse to make any individual stock pick, I will sometimes give strangers a stock that tends to slide sideways for long periods of time, ensuring that, even if it makes an eventual profit, it’ll take a long, long time. Basically, what I’m doing is discouraging them from asking for free investment advice, and keeping them from buying great stocks I am already purchasing (until the media gets wind of them).

Well, that’s sort of what I feel like doing with this review of Jeremy’s and Simon’s Underground Traffic Blueprints, but what is the point; it’s already being released to the public, so I might as well earn brownie points by inviting you to read more about it.

It’s a true game changing series of video’s with a surprise bonus series at the end, which is going to change the entire Internet marketing landscape, in the next few years, in ways I don’t think Eric Schmidt or Mark Zuckerberg could even imagine.

Surprise aside, Jeremy and Simon’s, Underground Traffic Blueprints (UTB) are the most informative and in-depth marketing series to be released this summer.

After finishing my sneak peek, consisting of nearly seven (7) hours of video training, I’d have to say this series packs more punch than a hotel full of retired boxing champs taking turns giving motivational speeches.

Jeremy and Simon lay it out straight, giving up secrets only whispered in the washroom amongst gurus at internet marketing seminars.

They show you the tools, the concepts and guide you through the “gray” areas of the underground marketing world, where the real money is made.

Everything is laid out like a blueprint or a flow chart if you will, so it’s easy to follow along and see the benefits or consequences, each step of the way.

UTB is better than a seminar because you can pause the video to take notes or look something up as you go along. I found this series rock solid with often “off the wall” underground tactics for Adwords, article marketing, Facebook marketing, SEO domination, site building, and more (plus a surprise).

This series goes way beyond the “usual stuff.” Even when Simon and Jeremy covered a topic that I thought I knew, they introduced some obscure underground twist, some new wrinkle, I’d never heard of before; and then continued to prove it out and show me how to integrate it into my own business. UTB teaches you how to quickly tighten up your tactics while always pounding on the theme of keeping everything organized and done right so you can scale it to fit your success, rather than re-invent the wheel every time you move forward.

The series works for “Newbies”, too, because it shows underground tactics from the very beginnings of a campaign. Therefore, I am very sure, even the least experienced “Newbie” could pick this up and probably even do better than a seasoned IM’er who is following the herd.

Best of all, along with every strategy taught, they also provide a formula for testing the tactics out, at little or no risk. Therefore, even though they had plenty of proof for their assertions, you’re never expected to dop a couple of more hundred dollars to follow their advice. You could prove every idea for yourself, very affordably (if not free).

I also found it refreshing that they never tried to sell me anything throughout the series. Every tool they suggested is free, or they show you how to get it free; and every site they recommend for service had a free trial, or they provided another free method that worked almost as well.

From just watching, the very first six videos of this 36 video set, you could make a profitable career. If you follow this systematic blueprint from start to finish, you could easily and exponentially, change your standard of living by sending TONS of targeted and eager buyers to your offers.

What I find most amazing though, is the bonus video about a new hybrid direct-mail-to-Internet business model. It is outside-the-box compared to what everyone else is teaching on the web, that the only reason I can think of for why others don’t teach it, is that 1) either they don’t know themselves, or 2) they know, but don’t want you to know.

If it was me, well I might want to enjoy it a bit more by myself first, before sharing this hot little hybrid secret.

Lucky for you though, it’s launch time!

I recently had the privilege of developing a course for Kaplan University, in their eCommerce program, regarding the role of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in a company’s marketing strategy. In addition to a wonderful textbook, The Art of SEO: Mastering Search Engine Optimization (Theory in Practice), I was able to condense my own experience and accumulated SEO research into the project. As the work progressed, I realized how many revenue-obstructing mistakes can be made in the name of “budget” or “limited resources.” It became clear that, to compete on the Web, companies can no longer rely on traditional advertising models while there are potentially millions of customers who find what they want through search engines. By the end of the course development, I had an extensive list that I thought I’d share here.

165 Mistakes Businesses Make About Web Marketing and SEO:

They fail to realize that organic search engine traffic is essential to the growth and success of the company.

They fail to acknowledge that search engines impose specific constraints on how websites can be structured.

They fail to realize that search engine success requires specialized marketing programs.

They fail to embrace both the limitations and requirements of SEO in order to gain a strategic advantage over their competition.

They fail to follow current trends in search, and are, therefore, unprepared for the competitive landscape.

They fail to recognize that the Web outperforms other sales channels.

They fail to understand that search traffic happens regardless of the market or economy.

They design their web pages with the most important content below-the-fold, or in places where most visitors don’t even look, or in code that the search engines cannot read.

They rely solely on paid positioning (PPC, AdSense, etc.) to drive traffic instead of optimizing for organic search results.

They fail to optimize their sites for local (geo-targeted) searches, where applicable.

They opt to make websites fancy, with Flash, Ajax, and JavaScript gizmos, at the expense of text-based content, rendering their web pages virtually invisible to the search engines.

They ignore building Mobile-friendly web pages, thereby cutting valuable search traffic out of the picture.

It astounds me every day that marketing professionals would have the etiquette to attend a friend’s party without trying to pitch everyone within three feet of them; but use social media to try to have sex without first saying hello.

I know, it sounds harsh, but the analogy is sound.

I’ve attended hundreds of parties – admittedly, mostly in college – and have always come to expect at least one dingbat who presumes that everyone else attended the party just to buy from him. It was like dropping fresh garlic in the middle of a petry dish filled with common cold virus. The bugs all flee to the outer rims of the dish!

The party pooper is seen later all by himself – no friends, no fun, and NO SALES. I’m sure you know the type.

The phenomenon we call Social Media is no different. Facebook, YouTube, MySpace and Twitter – for example – are places where we can meet people, have fun, and build relationships. They’ve never been very effective as marketing venues. But this fact doesn’t stop marketing wannabes from dumping pitches on everyone else’s parties.

For example, I get automated direct messages on Twitter every time I follow someone, and more than 60 percent of the messages go something like: “Hi, thanks for following. To make money from your Twitter traffic, click here http://blah.blah”

They don’t even know my name yet, but want to stick their hands into my wallet. No relationship. No fun. And – you guessed it – NO SALE. I simply delete their feeble and transparent marketing attempt and UN-follow them.

The most effective marketing utilizing social media is still “attraction marketing” – which makes friends first by offering free, useful information, attracting visitors to a central hub – usually a well-optimized WordPress blog, where they are given opportunities to learn more from the person they’ve already deemed to be an expert in the given topic AND with whom they’ve already developed a relationship.

Ask yourself this: If I’m marketing to everyone on social media and NOT selling very much, should I continue to do what doesn’t work and expect the results to change for the better?

Out of the hundreds of offers I get every day to increase my followings on Social Media sites like Twitter, one method has proven to actually work – and it happens to be the cheapest of the lot. I watched Bill Crosby’s promo video on Friday, June 12th, and was not initially impressed. It was a rather amateurish sales pitch and not terribly convincing. Plus, the video was a bit old, but the screenshot of Crosby’s Twitter following at that time showed a pretty good count.

While watching the video, I opened a new window and visited his current Twitter page. He had over 40,000 followers! That did it! As of that morning, I had about 250 followers, and I had struggled to find them. Crosby claimed I could increase my following by 16,000 within 90 days, using FREE tools to automate the process. The “magic” was in how those tools were combined to send a steady stream of useful content through one’s Twitter account, attracting people to follow, then having another free service automatically follow them back. Voila! Automated growth.

I couldn’t resist. I paid for the training – I think it was a paltry $27 or something like that, and I spent an hour watching Crosby actually set up the entire process, click-by-click. After each step, I paused the video and performed the step myself. This continued until the end of the training – approximately an hour later.

Just prior to launching Crosby’s “Twitter Traffic Machine,” I captured a screenshot of my Twitter page, which showed 258 followers. During this past week, I’ve made very few Tweets myself, mostly humorous one-liners, but my “Machine” has been averaging one or two Tweets every hour, around the clock, all related to my interests (see my Twitter profile at @Danorator for details).

This morning – one week later – I checked my Twitter account and saw over 1,147 followers (click an image to view full, dated screenshots). How many of these new friends are guitar or jazz enthusiasts, or dominoes players, I have no idea yet, but the point of the exercise was to prove Crosby’s assertion that Twitter followings could be attracted through an automated process of sharing content with the world.

As this auto-pilot syndication process continues, the rate of growth should steadily increase, since many of my Tweets will be Re-tweeted to my followers’ followers. Crosby’s claim, therefore, should be easily achieved.

Could I have figured out this Twitter “magic” myself? Of course, but it might’ve taken months to put it all together. Crosby says it took him over 2,000 hours of research to perfect the “Machine.” My experience proves that his time investment was worth it, and saves me both time and effort to build my social networks.

One word of caution about any automated follower-gathering system: If the traffic that matters is highly targeted, make sure that the “following” being generated is properly filtered. Having a huge mass of friends isn’t the point — having friends that trust you and like you, and want what you have to offer, is the point. In the end, the person with the most sales wins, even if someone else has the most Tweeters!

You can learn more about Crosby’s Twitter Traffic Machine here, and can follow him at @BillCrosby on Twitter.
